Although you may still see a few carrier pigeons circulating in the beer garden by far the easiest way to find out whats been going on at your favourite country inn, apart from paying a visit in person, is to check here on this very page! The pigeons are particularly tricky to catch and we're not entirely sure that whoever keeps writing the notes even works here...

Regulars amongst you may have noticed the appearance of an original 15th Century charcoal pizza oven in the beer garden... The first remains were discovered by Holly Bush resident Wilf on one of his more enthusiastic subteranean forays and after carfeul archealogical excavation and research the whole building has been lovingly restored to its former glory by Mssrs Holland & Haubus.

Fine summer evenings are now the perfect time to enjoy al fresco eating with our made to order charcoal baked pizzas, pimms on the lawn and pitchers of chilled Grolsch. All this and you dont even have to go into the pub!

And so you don't feel the need to venture inside too soon, our large beer garden now has overhead gas heating for those long summer evenings and chilly winter days. Star Trek fans amongst you may enjoy gazing at their silhouettes against the darkening moonlit skies. Non Star Trek fans may find this a source of enjoyment in itself.

We are pleased to offer the CardsSafe service for the added security of our customers. With CardsSafe when we hold a customers credit card so that they may start a bill, we put it into its own little credit card sized safe and give the key to the customer! When you come to settle your bill only the key you were given can retrieve your card. This simple but ingenious system safeguards your card and lets you relax without the hassle of using cash every time you go to the bar or worrying about your card details.
